I
was born in a small country town in Australia called Bowen. Bowen
is a seasonal town, with a population varying between 6000 and
12000 depending on the time of year. For the majority of my life
in Bowen I kept to myself and didn't participate in the undertakings
of my various peers. I was proud to not to be a part of their
world, though I now realise that by not partaking of their social
construct, as warped as it may have been, I have slowed the process
of my social maturity, hence a hesitance in verbal intercourse
that is hard to shake.
My life in recent years has consisted of study in visual arts,
and the undertaking of basic semiotic reading. This has opened
me up to the general hypocrisy in society, and allowed me to see
from an unbiased viewpoint the hypocrisy in my own beliefs. Lies
and exaggerations are so commonplace now in our lives that they
have become an integral part of our social fabric. Charisma is
given precedent over creation.
